S.S. Pride and Joy (seventh project)

I have to be honest for a sec. I was dreading this summary of my song ever since I saw how much work I put into it(I kept notes while working, just over two pages of notes), so I decided just to sum it up instead of going into details because face it, besides Mr. Rabuse nobody is going to care. Without further ado here is my seventh project:



For the first Sytrus I made, I gave it a combination of two different waves, upped the BPM to 160, and created a motif using a modification of ParagonX9's "Chaaz Fantasy" (for details on it head over to http://blackhole12.deviantart.com/art/Sytrus-Synth-Creation-Part-3-75988419 and check it out) Then I gave it a unison, and come Chorus and Reverb(that may be way it sounds so industrial). This first one was not my pride and joy of the four. The second one was.

Started off by making it into a saw wave, then gave it a Lime Low Pass Filter, followed by taking away the chorus and giving it some delay with reverb. Don't know what I did to make sound so full but it works and I'm proud of it, maybe the answer is in the details. On to the next one.

This third one may be my second favorite with it being a little simpler than the last one. All I did was head over to the OSC tab and make a semi-curve (the best I could do with a mouse and a shaky hand) but it had a smooth button to smooth it out. Like I said this was simple. Now for the last, and certainly not least, Sytrus.

Unlike the previous Sytrus where I made a simple curve, I went nuts in the OSC tab. To avoid having this one sound like scraping metal I enable the plucker which made it sound like a guitar (in a way). That's it for the Sytrus, now for the hard part.

Originally I had the first Sytrus with the bass line as the bass for the entire song with the the other Sytruses (I think that's the plural) filling in the other rolls of one of my typical songs but that didn't work. so after so fiddling I had some custom stuff going and that didn't work either. But, since third times a charm, I remember a certain composer I heard once, He would use the same melody with different instruments so I decided to use the same bass line from the beginning for all of them. And in the end I have what you hear now. So, please sit back, listen, enjoy, and comment (since I LOVE comments).

EDIT: after Mr. Rabuse listen to my original song he told me I was missing something, DRUMS. They have been a staple in everyone of my projects and I have forgotten them, now then enjoy the new version, now with 75% more FPC.

ANOTHER EDIT: It is said that no battle plan survives contact with the enemy, the same can be said with songs and Mr. Rabuse. After some weird food metaphors I understood that the drums in my last version were random and bad, so after a complete redo on my part the drums were toned down to simpler ones. And after that Mr. Rabuse came by again and help me redo the melody of the song (out with the simple, in with the interesting). Now you have what might be my pride and joy of all of these.

Last Project!?

I regret to inform you but this is my last project, or it was until I notice that I have this class again.

Like I promised the Slayer/FPC combo is back now with 25% more repetitiveness. The whole point of this project was to use the Sitrus thing and create a new sound with it, twice. The first time was the introduction to the song and I started with a simple pitch bend, change it to hell and back, and added some effects. Same with the one at the end. For the most part I just used the same formula, get Slayer, BooBass, FPC and chopped them. Woot 88 grade for the class.



If it doesn't work go down to my first project because that plays my new one. I don't know why, it just does.

Fifth Project of DOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to a certain comment from my last post, you know who you are, I have vowed to do this project without slayer or FPC, the drums you hear are of my own creation. But fear not for my next project will have them back with a vengeances ... hopefully. Anyway, I had no idea what I was going to do for this project so I did what I did in project two, I winged it(and we all know how that turned out). I started out with the Sytrus and the 3x Osc. I decided on the pre-set for Sytrus because I loved how it sounded and I worked the 3x Osc to go with it. After some fighting and a little help from Mr. Rabuse I got it working. After a little bit i decided it needed a BooBass to help, since it isn't a Slayer or FPC I could use it. Then I didn't like how it all started at once so I shifted it around some, added some fade in and fade out and ta-da I have this slightly shorter but still good song for you to enjoy and comment on. I mean come-on people just two comments, that's weak.

P.S. At the time of writing I was unaware of the fact that I have three comments.

The Cat Song (Fourth Project)

I'll be the first to admit it, my last description was less than epic. I will fix that now. NOW THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY THIS NEW CREATION IS TO BLAST THE SOUND. TURN IT WAY UP. I HEARD ONCE THAT PEOPLE USE LOUD NOISES TO SOUND GOOD, I MAY BE DOING THAT. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE WONDERING ABOUT THE SONG TITLE, UNDERSTAND THIS, THE POINT OF THE PROJECT WAS TO USE A MODULATION IN THE SONG SO I USED ONE ON THE MASTER VOLUME AND AS A WHAMMY BAR FOR THE PITCH ON ONE OF THE SLAYER, IT ENDED UP SOUNDING LIKE A CAT SO I WENT WITH IT DUE TO LACK OF TIME. I ALSO DUMBED DOWN THE BASS. BUT PLEASE LISTEN, ENJOY, AND COMMENT. I LOVE COMMENTS. (IN CASE YOU CAN'T TELL I'M USING ALL CAPTS TO SIGNIFY THAT I AM YELLING. IT IS KIND OF OBVIOUS.)

Third Project (Awesome)

This new creation of mine was hatched from the crazy mind of James Bodine. The effects you hear are from all corners of the world. The clap in the first part is outfitted with a delay, the snare a reverb, and the slayer (again from Rock Band) I used a flanger. The FPC had a chorus to it.

Second Awesome Project

I didn't know what I was doing going into this Project, so I winged it. I started with a simple chop of a note and soon I was chopping on Heaven's Door. I hit a snag with just the Slayer and FPC but with some help from the totally awesome Mr. Rebuse and his kind words of wisdom I added the other slayer (the long chord) and the bass. The end result reminded me of a song from a game I play (Bully). Anyway enjoy and thanks for the awesome (am I over using that word) comments from the first one, even if I don't know what panning means.
